- 8 large Granny smith apples 800-900g Peeled, cored and sliced into smaller wedges
- 1/2 cup Caster Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1/2 cup Sultanas Optional
Crumble
- 1 1/2 cups Plain Flour
- 3/4 cup Caster Sugar Can be substituted for brown sugar if preferred
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1 cup Rolled oats
- 225 grams Butter Softened / slightly melted

- Preheat oven to 180°C
- Combine apples, water, cinnamon and sugar in a saucepan over low to medium heat. Add sultanas (*optional)
- Cook and stir for 8 - 10 minutes or until apple softens.
Crumble
- Place flour, sugar, cinnamon, oats and in a large bowl and mix until combined.
- Chop butter into smaller pieces and soften then add to the mix. Combine with hands until a crumb texture is formed.
- Add apples to baker and then add crumble mixture. Ensure the cooked fruit is fully covered.
- Bake for 20 - 30 minutes until crumble is golden
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or cream.
